Everything We Know About the Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik Situation

One of our favorite celebrity couples has to be Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik. We love this pair and their child they recently welcomed together. Even though we thought all was well with this couple, a week ago frightening allegations were made by Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, about Zayn. In this article, I am going to tell you everything we know about this on-going situation.

This all started when Yolanda claimed that Zayn struck her, which he denied. Zayn was quoted saying that he “decline[s] to give any further details and hope[s] that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private” according to J-14. 

Following this, court documents quickly came out regarding the situation. Even though Zayn denied these allegations, according to court documents from September, he allegedly shoved Yolanda during an argument. Zayn is now on 360 days of probation and was also ordered to stay away from Yolanda and also has to take an anger management course. 

So, where does Gigi stand? According to an article published in ELLE magazine, Gigi is “reportedly done with Zayn for good” following the breakup and allegations made by her mother. We all know how on and off this relationship has been—one day they are in love, the next they are not. Although, this time is very different. It seems that Hadid is really done. 

One of the things that many people were wondering was what happens to their child? Over a year ago, Gigi and Zayn welcomed their first child, Khai into the world. Even though it seems this couple is done with each other, according to E! News, both Gigi and Zayn have been meeting with lawyers regarding custody, and both want to make sure their daughter has both parents present in her life. 

This news is obviously heartbreaking, but we hope that both sides are able to find understanding and agreement, especially when it comes to the custody of Gigi and Zayn’s child.
