Fairfield University is making monumental progress as it becomes the first University in Connecticut to offer a master of arts degree in interior design. Prior to this announcement, Fairfield had offered a post-baccalaureate program in interior design. Creative expertise, industry knowledge, and hands-on experience are just some of the many skills that students can develop and familiarize themselves with. These assets will aid students in receiving their advanced degree and professional certification in interior design.

Â
Faculty consisting of professional designers and industry experts will train students and provide them with support. They will teach students how to use their technical skills to translate abstract concepts into three-dimensional reality. Students will be able to develop a substantial portfolio to showcase to future employers. There will be opportunities for people to become NCIDQ (National Council of Interior Design Qualification) certified and members of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) or the International Interior Design Society (IIDS).Â
