For those of our Her Campus readers coming from different campuses, here at Fairfield U we call the spouses we meet during our time as a Fairfield student our StagMates. Statistically, 10% of Fairfield Alum are now married to their other fellow stags, most of these couples meeting each other at beach and townhouse parties. That being said, I have four beautiful and charming stagettes to tell us about what they are looking for in their potential stagmate.

Who is your ideal Stagmate?
Someone who makes me laugh, likes to go out with me, and be around my friends. I want someone motivated and caring! Also a bonus if he has a sister.
What is the perfect first date in Fairfield?
A nice sunny day spent on the beach, then go into town for dinner at Quattro Pazzi for some yummy Italian food!

Who is your ideal Stagmate?
Someone who is focused on their academics but also able to have fun, whether that means going out or staying in and watching a movie. It would also be nice to have someone who could come to church on Sunday with me and get along with my friends. Someone who is funny and can make fun, but also be a gentleman. They can spend quality time whether that be hanging out in the dorms, going out to eat, going to the gym together, or even just doing homework. Someone who loves his family and faith and a dog lover would be nice too. :)
What is the perfect first date in Fairfield?
My ideal first date in Fairfield would be going to dinner at any place in town like Malibu or The Sinclair, walking around for a little bit, and going to 16 Handles for some froyo.

Who is your ideal Stagmate?
Personally, I prefer the same height, maybe taller than me. 5’ 5” or above, not a hard deadline I don’t think. I want a big Stag (if you know what I mean) someone who’s bulking but will never cut you know? Like built but not carved. Hair color is not a problem for me, blonde, brunette, ginger, whatever, it all works for me. He’s got to be nice, funny and loud. Goofy. Someone to match my energy. In conclusion, a teddy bear/bernese mountain/samoyed man. Hit my line, gentlemen.
What is the perfect first date in Fairfield?
Honestly, dinner at the Tully, walk around campus on a warm day, super casual fun vibes. Not too much, maybe a fun little Bellarmine Lawn sunset moment.

Who is your ideal Stagmate?
Really funny, kind, tall, and smart
What is the perfect first date in Fairfield?
An activity, not just dinner, and a walk on the beach
As for myself, my ideal StagMate is someone who is taller than me (5’9” or above, ideally 6’4”), funny, smart, caring, and likes to have a good time. A guy who’s on the creative side but still likes sports and other guy things (a little feminine, but not very, yet we do go to Fairfield so I do have to be realistic). Probably a business major who’s involved around campus and likes to stay active (particularly from surfing or something cool like that).
My ideal date around Fairfield would consist of my date and I getting dinner at The Sinclair (and share oysters because they’re my favorite and known as “the food of love”) and going for a walk on Penfield Beach before or after the meal (preferably around sunset for the walk and have it be early fall or in the spring).
Although I have yet to find my StagMate, I will try and remain hopeful that a nice guy will come along during my four years at Fairfield U. And fellas, if you match my description as the perfect StagMate or any of the other lovely ladies in this article, hit up our lines. Happy hunting and stags up.
XO Catherine
