We had the pleasure of stopping at Geronimo’s on Post Road in Fairfield for the new Reverse Happy Hour! For all our 21+ readers, it starts at 9 pm and features live music on Fridays! We were so excited to try some of their classic margaritas, as well as their happy hour special cucumber-infused margaritas! Both were absolutely delicious and the perfect pregame before a night at the Grape.
Their happy hour menu has a bunch of small plates to choose from- we ordered nachos, chips and guac, chicken quesadilla, and a pulled pork sandwich. To our surprise, the chef sent out even ~MORE~ goodies. These included some of their lobster tacos, 3 different soups (our favorite was the tortilla soup!), and banana cheesecake. We were literally in a food coma! Everything was so good, and we are so appreciative of all the treats we got to try. Overall, our favorite menu items were the chips and guac (obviously), the soup trio, and the lobster tacos! If you don’t like lobster, they have plenty of other filling options as well!
Not only were the drinks delicious and the food was to die for, but the atmosphere and the staff really made Geronimo stand out. Head chef, Arturo Franco-Camacho, came out to personally thank us for coming in. He explained where his passion for food comes from as well as why Geronimo is such a special place. He had sent us some of his favorite dishes and even took us into the kitchen to see how they prepare everything. Did you know they make their tortillas by hand? And they use over 60 cases of limes a WEEK! Our experience felt so personal, and like everyone really cared about us. Our waiter was charming and attentive, the hosts were helpful and nice, and we never felt like we were waiting around.
Overall, we’re totally obsessed with all things Geronimo! We cannot recommend their Reverse Happy Hour enough! Live music, $5 margs, and all the chips and guac you may need? Say no more!
