You heard it here first Stags! The old Alumni Hall is being revamped as a part of Fairfield’s 2020 master plan, The Way Forward, which looks to modernize and build upon campus. The estimated project is going to cost a whopping $45 million, but it is well worth the price. This will give Fairfield U the ability to accommodate the growing class size and to bring sports, such as men and women’s basketball, back to campus.
According to the official website, there will be many new additions including a beer garden, satellite concession stands, a Stags Club lounge, and a state-of-the-art broadcast and media center. In total, there will be 3,500 seats which will accommodate the fans and students that will attend the basketball games, volleyball games, university events, and concerts. For athletes, there will be varsity locker rooms and a place for, wait for it… pregame meals along with a theatre room! So needless to say, it’s going to be insanely nice! Sorry class of 2020 looks like you’ll have to come back to check it out as it is set to open in 2021.
