On October 3rd, we celebrate the most fetch day of the year – Mean Girls Day. The moment that Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was will stay with Mean Girls fans forever.
However, for the 13th anniversary of the movie, the cast of Mean Girls has come together to celebrate their holiday with more than just Instagram posts and Tweets. Now, Aaron Samuels is asking more than what day it is. He’s asking for our help.
Jonathan Bennett, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried, and Daniel Franzese joined forces to film this video, asking fans to donate to the National Compassion Fund. The Fund is accepting donations to support the victims of the Las Vegas shooting that occurred this past Sunday, October 1st.
The cast of the movie has started a GoFundMe page in order to collect donations. If fans donate as little as $3, in honor of the day, the actors who play some of our favorite movie characters will reach their goal of $300,000 in no time.
Like Chabert, who plays Gretchen in the film, says in the video, “We know fetch is never gonna happen. But we can make this happen.”
