Signed, sealed, and soon to be delivered! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official wedding invites are on their royal way — and they’re stunning! We’ve got the inside scoop on every little detail. It’s sure to be the wedding of the year!
According to a tweet from Kensington Palace, “The invitations follow many years of Royal tradition and have been made by Barnard Westwood. They feature the Three-Feathered Badge of the Prince of Wales printed in gold ink.”
The ceremony will take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19th, just a mere two months away! It’s been discovered that 600 people are invited to both the service and luncheon. Queen Elizabeth will do the honors of hosting the luncheon at St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle. Later in the evening, about 200 guests will have the opportunity to join a private reception hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House’s castle grounds (this is where the couple took their absolutely gorgeous engagement photos that we all couldn’t stop looking at).
Kensington Palace was kind enough to share the exact details on how the invitations were made on Twitter and even included a short video as well. “Lottie Small, who recently completed her apprenticeship, printed all of the invitations in a process known as die stamping, on a machine from the 1930’s that she affectionately nicknamed Maude.” Kensington Palace also clarified that “using American ink on English card, the invitations are printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge.” Fancy indeed!
There is no definite word yet on who exactly is part of the bridal party, but we have no doubt Meghan’s plans will be amazing. There is no formal decision on who will be the best man either, but we have a pretty good feeling Prince Harry will choose his beloved brother.
We couldn’t be more excited for another royal wedding in the making and are wishing the royal couple nothing but the best in their last couple months of preparation!
