Stags Hockey Heads To Regionals

The Men’s Club Hockey team here at Fairfield recently faced division rival Farmingdale in their last game of the regular season.  With Farmingdale coming out strong, the Stags faced a slow start and left the first period trailing 2-1.  However, thanks to a full-throttle pace set by their captains and seniors, the Stags were soon able to tie it up.  Goals were scored by Matt Peacock, Cormac Kennedy, Christian Habberstad, and Dan Giberna, while goalie Ralph DiSpigna made some key saves, allowing no more in for Farmingdale.

This 4-2 win was very important for the Stags.  Ending the regular season with a record of 15-4, the Stags placed first in the Empire Conference, and third in the Atlantic Region.  They will take on Regionals this weekend in Pennsylvania with their first game against Maritime on Friday evening.  Check out Stags Hockey on Twitter for updates.

Good luck, boys!
