Trendsetter Tuesday: Straight off the ‘Gram

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

As the seasons begin to change, we are all on the hunt for new outfit inspo. The photo-based app that we all religiously refresh is a perfect source for wardrobe guidance. Instagram serves as a platform for us to share our looks, as well as learn about the latest trends from countless bloggers and influencers. Here are just a few of our favorite ‘fits that can be worn starting now and well into the spring. These ensembles feature some of the moment’s hottest trends for the upcoming season, straight from the profiles of the people who popularize them.

To kick off our Instagram investigation of what’s hot right now, it only seems right to turn to Arielle Charnas (@somethingnavy), who should probably be pictured under the dictionary definition of ‘chic.’ Arielle’s early spring style includes this oh-so-cozy sweater dress and coat combo, which are both ideal for the unpredictable cold weather that a day in March or April may bring. Her accessories bring this look straight to spring, though. A white Chanel boy bag and khaki Isabel Marant booties (quite literally) put a spring in Arielle’s step.

Next up is Julie Sariñana (@sincerelyjules), who absolutely kills the cool girl style game year-round. Her LA-influenced style is perfect for in-between weather and this look is just a preview of what her blog and Insta have to offer. The combo of joggers and heeled sandals is unexpected but ideal for when the weather just barely starts heating up.

With spring inevitably comes plenty of rain, too. Aimee Song (@songofstyle) doesn’t let a little bad weather rain on her parade by perfectly styling this chic trench with coordinating booties and distressed jeans. We never thought we could want a full-length trench so bad until now. Thanks, Aimee!

Rebecca Black (@msrebeccablack) may have risen to fame because of her less-than-fabulous hit ‘Friday,’ but her wardrobe definitely makes up for it. Here, she puts together the perfect denim on denim look for early spring and accessorizes with the cutest fur-adorned slides.

If street style is more your vibe, look to LF’s Instagram (@lfwestport) for the ultimate outfit inspiration. This incredibly trendy store’s Westport location is the perfect place to find seasonal pieces that will certainly stand out.

We hope these looks provide all of the guidance you need for dressing for the barely-warm weather we’re about to start experiencing! Don’t forget to ‘gram what you’re sporting this season and tag us on insta @hcfairfieldu!
