The only reason to be dreading the warmer weather is if you have pasty white skin hiding underneath your clothes. Have no fear, self-tanner is here!
In my many years of faking a tan, I have tried numerous tanning products from Jergens to Banana Boat to St. Tropez…the list goes on. However, my favorite has to be St. Moriz! The product delivers a bronze and streak-free tan at a fraction of the price compared to higher ticketed self-tanning lines. What a steal at a mere $4 from Amazon.com. This self-tanner comes in the shades Medium and Dark either a mousse or lotion. I personally use the mousse in Dark with a tanning mitt. You can find the self-tanning products and tanning mitts at Ulta and also online on Amazon.com.Â
How To Get A No Fail Tan in 4 Steps:
1.    Exfoliate and Shave: Scrub your skin with a wash cloth, loofah, or body scrub. Also, be sure to shave before applying your self-tanner.
2.    Lotion: Apply a regular non-scented lotion, such as St. Ives, to your knees, elbows, feet, ankles, and wrists. This ensures the self-tanner won’t crease or crack in these areas.
3.    Tanning: Work from the bottom up, starting with your legs—putting whatever is left over on your mitt onto your feet. Tip: Bend your elbows and knees when applying. Next, apply to your stomach, chest, and arms. Put less than a dime-amount of tanner on your hands and make your hand into a claw so the tanner looks natural over your knuckles.
For your back, either have a friend apply for you or attach your mitt to something long that you’ll be able to reach.
For your face, use a flat-topped kabuki blending brush. This ensures the best application. Also, be sure to blend into your neck!
4.    Shower: If you think you’re too dark, you can rinse off in the shower after about 4 hours, but be sure not to scrub!
Happy self-tanning:)Â
