It’s that time of year… unfortunately. Midterms! This semester, alike every other, it’s important to be as prepared as possible for all your exams. Even though classes are now being held online for the remainder of the semester, it is still just as important to prep for midterms as best as you can. Below are some ways to stay on track for one of the longest weeks of the semester.

1. Write Down The Exam Dates

We often have so many midterms within one or two weeks of each other and it’s important to know which days and times each test is. Writing them down will help to ensure you won’t get the days mixed up or accidentally miss the test. It’s just as important to make sure all your notes are together so you are studying the correct information that will be on the test.

2. Give Yourself Enough Time To Study

Throughout the semester it is easy to procrastinate projects or homework until the day before it is due. It is important that you give yourself time and start studying a few days before the test. The last thing you want to do is and try to remember everything you learned over the semester in one night. It is often helpful to start studying a week in advance. This way, you can focus on different topics each day and will feel more than prepared by the day of the test. This will help you understand the information and not just memorize it. You can also set aside a certain amount of time per day that you dedicate to studying.

If you have a hard time studying on your own, form a study group. Even if you can’t meet in person, you can study together through group chats or video calls. This is a great chance to ask questions on topics that you may not understand. You can also trade notes and tips. If you have trouble settling down and doing school work this could be a great way to make sure you are setting the time to study.

3. Eat & Sleep

It is important that you are healthy and not wearing yourself out. Make sure you get plenty of sleep the day before the test and eat a healthy breakfast. It is very important to get a good night’s sleep to ensure that you will be awake and focused. Also eating breakfast will give you the energy you need to ace that exam.

4. Take Your Vitamins & Wash Your Hands

There are so many germs going around this time of year – especially now – and being sick is the last thing you need when trying to study and take all your exams. Make sure you are washing your hands every time you get home. Emergen-C is a great way to help prevent you from getting sick as well as other vitamins.

5. Meditate

This may seem silly and that it doesn’t relate to midterms, but it is important to be relaxed. Meditation will help clear your mind and reduce stress. It is important to stay positive!

Midterms can be a stressful time of year and it’s important to be as well prepared as possible to get the best outcome on all your exams. Good luck, I hope these tips help!
