Obsessed With Shows Based in New York

Starting a new show is either the best thing or the worst. Usually, for me it’s the worst. I hate picking one out and it takes me forever to get into it. Lately, this has been the complete opposite for me. The past three shows I have been watching I have been completely glued to them. Whenever I am not doing something or even when I am I have the show playing. I fear I may become an iPad kid. One thing I have noticed about all of them is they are all based in New York. 

Having shows based on where you live is such a surreal feeling. There is some sort of connection you have with them. There is some sort of magic with this. I think it is just the way that their life is similar to the one you’re living. It is like you can relate to the characters. Another fun thing is when you see a place in the show that you have been too. I automatically gasp and get even more glued to the show.  There are even tours that you can take to see all of the filming locations!

The show I just started watching is How I Met Your Mother. I never even thought about watching it before but one of my friends suggested it to me and if I have any advice for TV shows listen to your friend’s recommendations. I have actually been to McGee’s Pub before watching the show and I did not appreciate it as much as I would now. Now I am dying to go back! This show is such a simple show but it always leaves you on a cliffhanger. Then I catch myself watching it for hours without even realizing it. 

Growing up I watched shows based here because I always wanted to move here. Living here and watching them though is just so much more magical. It truly is like you have a connection with the characters. I just love it so much. 

New York is such a special place because so many shows are based here. There are hundreds of shows based in New York and you could spend all your time just watching them. I am never going to run out of shows to watch.
