Redoing a space can be tricky because you’re trying to accomplish many things at the same time. You want it to feel spacious and clean while conserving the kind of style and look you’re going for.
Sometimes we might feel overwhelmed by the idea of completely renewing our space, so we think our options are severely limited. But this really isn’t true at all!
The truth is that leveling up your space is actually really simple once you get the hang of it. And by making it inviting and cozy, you’re making your upgraded place feel therapeutic and personal.
Quarantine has undoubtedly made all our spaces feel dull and uninteresting at one point or another. I, for one, have been making small touches here and there to make it feel at least a little different.
There is no right or wrong way to make your space feel fresh because everyone has different styles, vibes, and aesthetics.
However, to help give you a little push, I’ve compiled a list of the top six things that can make any space feel like an automatic ten.
Although preferences vary, here’s what I’ve found works best and is both practical and tasteful:Â
1. 3 words:Â Peel-And-Stick Wallpaper
This is just what it sounds like: a wallpaper you peel and stick onto the wall. It’s the perfect nonpermanent answer to your bland-wall woes, according to Buzzfeed.
2. Use space-saver furniture
Ikea is your best friend here. With high quality and low prices, you’re destined to find the perfect shoe rack and under-the-bed drawers.
3. Opt for a full-body mirror
For this one, Amazon has a million options. You can decide on the trim, style, and color and if you want it to secretly hold all your jewelry or not.Â
4. Hang greenery – lots of itÂ
A cheap and easy addition to any room. Nothing brightens up a place like adding some draping greenery, especially from Etsy.
5. Invest in a neon signÂ
A neon sign can add a touch of personality to any room and makes it feel unique. I got mine from Etsy, but Amazon also has a ton!
6. Layer textures
This is a subtle but impactful way to level up your space! Switch up the textures in your room by adding wool, cotton, silk, and other thrifted fabrics from Goodwill.
Which one of these is your favorite?
