7 Ways to Spend Your Weekends in Miami this November… on a Budget!

1.       Yoga at Bayfront Park:

Thousands of people gather together for free yoga at Bayfront Park in Miami Beach. With the cool breeze, sound of the waves and beautiful view, you’ll definitely enjoy yourself! It is open to people at all levels of yoga. Classes take place every Monday and Wednesday at 6 pm and Saturdays at 9 am. 2.       Trip to the Farmers’ Market:

A trip to the local farmers’ market is perfect for exploring and enjoying tasty new foods, fruits and vegetables. It’s amazing the kinds of things you could find (and taste) at the farmers market! Some farmers’ markets even have performances and unique, handmade crafts. There are several different locations near FIU. 3.       Picnic at the park:

The weather is absolutely perfect for a picnic at the park! All you need is a blanket and basket filled with all of your favorite snacks and treats. Be sure to pack your favorite book, a kite or some board games for a fun and relaxing afternoon outdoors. There are several beautiful parks in the FIU and Miami area like Tamiami Park, Tropical Park and Crandon Park.

4.       Attend Miami’s Book Fair International:

Miami’s Book Fair International is one of the largest book fairs in the country. It is a weeklong event taking place November 16th through the 23rd in Downtown Miami. The street fair in particular will take place November 21st through the 23rd.At the street fair, you’ll be able to browse through booths of hundreds of booksellers and exhibitors. There will also be over 450 authors reading and discussing their work. Food vendors line the streets along with performances and art work. There’s truly something for everyone! 5.       Take a trip to Knaus Berry Farm:

Knaus Berry Farm is located in Homestead, Florida. It has been a family owned business for over 55 years. They are best known for their delicious smoothies, milkshakes and… cinnamon rolls! If you haven’t been there yet, you won’t want to miss out! Just grab a group of friends and hop into a car and enjoy the morning or afternoon at the farm. 6.       Visit Deering Estate at Cutler:

The Deering Estate is a beautiful cultural art center housed on 444 acres of land. They have a variety of activities and exhibits for guests to enjoy with their 12$ entrance fee.  This is the perfect place to go on a fresh fall day with a group of friends or your significant other. Specifically in November, they will be having two major events. 7.       Bike ride at Shark Valley:

Grab your bicycle, a water bottle and your helmet for a trip down Shark Valley! This is a 15 mile paved road through the Everglades. It takes about 2-3 hours to complete, and the best part is that you can go at your own pace and explore as long as you wish! This is the perfect season to do this because the temperature is much cooler and there will be fewer mosquitos.
