How to bake a cookie cake, candid celeb photos, sports highlights and cute baby animals are just some of the many posts that you may stumble upon while navigating through Instagram. My instagram however is full of posts from all of my physical trainers because I have dozens of them. Sure they may not know my name or have any clue who I am, but they’re how I stay active and gain the majority of my gym knowledge.

At the start of the new year I had told myself I would get back into my fitness routine, but I knew it was going to be a hard process. With that I turned to a few Instagram pages of women that I had found to be very inspirational with their posts showing their great progress they had made with their goals for fitness and health. As I ”stalked” these women’s pages more and more I began to realize that hundreds of thousands of people had Instagram accounts not only devoted to showing off their physical progress, but showing off how they got to look and feel as amazing as they do. That’s right- there are people that show you all the workouts you never even knew existed for certain muscle groups and the correct steps for workouts you thought you’d never be able to master, all for free at the touch of your fingertips. Of course this is nothing new and everybody has always known that people post their workouts on Instagram, but often times they fail to realize that watching one video and writing down the steps can  easily turn into your own gym routine or fitness plan. I’ve found myself at the gym with friends before who get stuck in middle of their gym session because they don’t know what exercise to do next or how to do it and they never think to look back to the most accessible example for help.

Creating a solid gym routine is always hard to start and even harder to maintain, so why not get some free help from these people online who are getting paid for their posts?  If you can’t afford a personal trainer, workout guides, or pilates classes don’t sweat it, because there’s still ways for you to be able to sweat. These people post for the sole purpose of inspiring and helping others! You can access any and every type of workout right from your phone. Here area few of some of the many great pages for various types of exercise styles:

  • @sculptlifestyle A page that compiles others’ videos and photos of workouts, while also throwing in some inspos and photos of food!

  • @gymglutes Let’s just face it, we all know we want to look good from behind…. This page compiles the leg, glute, and lower body workouts from other fitness accounts.

  • @linnlowes is a gorgeous native of Sweden who posts a variation of workouts and even throws in a few couple routines!
  •  @kelseywells is a super cool fit mommy who shows off her workouts, meals, progress, and is extremely candid about her feelings throughout her fitness journey.
  •  @yogoskenz  is another mommy, only this one’s specialty is yoga! She posts videos daily of her yoga “flows” at home- a great reminder that one can workout anywhere!
  • @bicepslikebriggs is a women’s cross fit champion who shares her workouts and photos from her competitions!

Well… you may want to start searching for your gym membership card or whip out your mat at home, because now you really have no excuse for not staying on top of those health and fitness goals!Â
