TOP 5 Binging with Babish Receipes You Need to Try

Have you ever wondered what it would be to try the Inglorious Basterds strudel, or the Famous Black Garlic Burger from Bob’s Burgers, or even Butter Beer from Harry Potter? If you aren’t aware of the YouTube (and culinary) sensation that is Binging with Babish, you haven’t lived yet.

Having started his show Binging with Babish barely two years ago, his popularity (mostly known for recreating cuisines from popular shows or movies), has skyrocketed almost overnight. With over 3.1 million YouTube Subscribers, Chef Andrew Ray has become easily recognizable even if you don’t often see his face in his videos, among the YouTuber scene.

Binging with Babish has become a staple in my home, as my cousins and I bond over the mouthwatering creations all over again the second time as Chef Andrew shows us the process in making Homer Simpson’s Moon Waffles (even if he did destroy a waffle iron in the process).

  1. Chris Tregor’s East meets West Turkey Burger from Parks and Recreation. I remember this episode vividly, and I remember as Chris described his East meets West turkey burger my mouth started to water and I wondered how amazing this must have tasted. Well I wondered no more as Chef Andrew recreated this famous burger step by step. He also created Ron’s burger as a competition to see who’s was better. Even though Ron’s burger won in the episode (and in the Binging with Babish), I personally would rather have Chris’s burger, though my cousins would disagree.
  2. Wild Mushroom from Seinfeld. I am a big mushroom soup fan, but I had to admit the one made on this episode looked far superior to any other mushroom soup I’ve seen. Since the Seinfeld episode didn’t give much of an image or recipe, Chef Andrew decided to make the best possible mushroom soup, and I agree. This is one recipe I am whole-heartedly going to try and you should too!
  3. Ratatouille from Ratatouille. Technically this dish is real and has it’s own traditional recipe, none the less, Chef Andrew achieved my (and everyone else’s) dream of what ratatouille would be like in real life based off the movie. Comically, the ratatouille is so good it brings Chef Andrew back to his childhood and early days of cooking.  I would highly recommend this if you want to recall any precious childhood memories.
  4. Bad Baby Pie from Waitress. I am a huge fan of quiche, so when I saw how simple this recipe was, I knew I had to jump on it. Now any other pie in this episode is delicious as well but none are better than Bad Baby pie. I do have to agree, that the recipe was a tad too simple that it looked as though it was missing something. If you do try this one at home, watch the whole video and add some sautéed onions and some garlic.
  5. Cannolis from The Godfather. I am a huge godfather fan (often making a lot of godfather puns to my own godfather), and I can honestly tell you I’ve always wanted to make their cannoli, and now I can. Though they look pain stakingly-delicious, I think the effort that goes into making one makes it all worth it. It was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Any other dish from Binging with Babish is 100% worth the effort to recreate (except Rachel’s English trifle, don’t make it unless you do Chef Andrew’s version) but these are some of my favorites that I am eager and proud to make. I hope this article inspired you to look into more recopies and xperiment as well with Chef Andrew!
