This spring we are aiming for a comfortable stylish look with a bit of a bohemian flare. Our sights are set on being vibrant- we are talking arm cuffs, a coral lip, big floppy hats. Read on to get a list of this year’s spring essentials and a few bargains along the way!

  • Mint Nail Polish

Mint is the perfect color for this spring; it is a great compliment to your midi rings and makes for a great contrast against all sun-kissed skin tones. Essie’s ‘Blossom Dandy’, from their Spring 2015 collection, is the perfect shade of mint mixed with a baby blue hue. ($8.50, Ulta.com)

  • Keds

Keds have made a comeback! Vibrant and floral Keds are what we are wearing this spring around campus. They are comfortable and add a pop of color to your outfit. A bright coral pair can instantly add some fun to your casual on-campus look.  ($45, Keds.com)

  • Boho Maxi Dress

Whether you’ll be vacationing in the tropics or dancing around a bonfire with your girlfriends, a boho maxi is a must in your closet this spring. We love a laid-back, airy maxi dress to compliment your beach waves. With the array of maxis in stores, you wont have trouble finding the perfect dress on a collegiate budget. Oh yes! Get your arm cuffs ready! ($13, Forever21.com)

  • Coconut Oil Everything!

It isn’t news that coconut oil has a multitude of health benefits. However, what it does for your skin and hair is no less exciting. Coconut oil serves as a better option than lotion and sunscreen- it is natural, moisturizes the skin and hair and protects you from over 20% of the suns UV rays. Quick tip: After you take a dip in the ocean, generously spray Coconut Oil Hydrating Oil Mist all over your hair and do a quick fishtail braid to lock in the moisture. ($7.99, Ulta.com)

  • A Fresh Perspective

We tend to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of midterms and keeping up with our social lives that we forget to take a few minutes a day to ourselves. Take some time to yourself so that you can let go of the old and set new goals. Go for a walk, take a yoga class, meditate for 15 minutes each day, drink hot chocolate, put your favorite song on as loud as you want and just dance- whatever connects you to yourself and relaxes you. Don’t forget to come back to earth each day this spring (even for just a few minutes) and remember what is truly important.
