Top 5 things to do in Tally

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

1. Maple Street Biscuit Company

Breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day. The first stop will be at the Maple Street Biscuit Company for an American biscuit drizzled in savory maple syrup.

Here you’ll spot the local sport’s team jerseys decorating all the walls, but the one made all out of glass ensuring you’ll get that perfect natural lighting in the morning. Don’t forget to order your bottomless iced or hot Tally coffee for just $2.75.

Ps. When you make your order the cashier will ask you the question of the day, make sure you have a good answer because whatever it is, that’s what they’ll call out once your order is ready for pickup!

2. Fun Station

No matter what age you are, you’ll surely  have a thrilling time at Fun Station at a very affordable price.

Fun Station has it all; from arcade games to mini golf to go carting. Just grab your token card and head to the batting cages or laser tag!

For just $2 on Sunday’s these activities can be a part of the fun too!

3. Abandoned Cement Factory

The old cement factory is so well known in Tally that you can find it by just typing it into your gps, just beware of what time you decide to go.

If you decide to go during the day, the graffiti walls will be a great backdrop for all your IG posts, but if you decide to go at night I do recommend bringing a flashlight and going in a big group.

I speak from experience when I say that if you find yourself there at night it is proven to be a spooky time.

4. Hobbit

There is nothing like hitting up the Hobbit for some wings on game day!

Live the experience of fans stacking up into booths, tables and the bar to cheer loudly and chant upon every touchdown when the Seminoles score.

After the game, head to the back of the restaurant to play some darts the Tallahassee way, all complementary.

5. Railroad Square Art District

This was by far one of my favorite finds due to the live music, shopping and photo options.

Just picture about 50 trailers put together to create a bunch of mini shops all packed with its own personality!

Shop for art, video games, clothing, candles, etc. and then enjoy some live jazz and contemporary music from your local artists.

Plus, you’re supporting  local business while purchase some unique finds at the same time!
