From starring in Disney Channel television series and films to revolutionizing the cosmetic world, Selena Gomez has received immense support from fans after launching her brand, Rare Beauty, in September 2020. The collection was founded by Gomez in hopes of inspiring and encouraging individuals to embrace their beauty as opposed to altering their features.

The Disney Alum spent years having her makeup professionally done before sets, often questioning her own beauty. However, this motivated the Rare Beauty founder to create a welcoming space for women to feel comfortable in their own skin. In doing so, the brand is combatting society’s beauty standards.

Rare Beauty has emphasized the importance of inclusivity through their wide variety of products and shade range. There are no limits at Rare Beauty, as there is something made to fit everyone. On top of that, Rare Beauty is made with clean products that make the entire line vegan and cruelty-free. Products are easy to use and of great quality. A fan favorite, “Soft Pinch Liquid Blush“, has sold out several times since its release, quickly becoming everyone’s obsession.

It doesn’t stop there. Gomez prioritizes conversations surrounded by mental health as a way to change the beauty industry. The Rare Impact Fund focuses on educating individuals on topics related to mental health struggles, offering resources, and supporting young people. During its first year, the organization reached $1.2 million which was donated to more than five mental health organizations. Rare Beauty acts as a vessel for the singer and actress to promote self-care, confidence, and education one step at a time.
