I recently went on a girls retreat and it was just the thing I needed. I’m completely rejuvenated from the stressful workload of school. The retreat was located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature, needless to say it was totally worth it! Here a few reasons why you should go to a girls retreat!
Networking
You can easily make close connections at a retreat compared to a career convention. Retreats allow you to be who you truly are and connect with those who share similar qualities. You may bond with someone who likes the same Netflix series or someone who shares the same birthday as you. Networking in college is very important for future job opportunities, internship opportunities and job referrals. You will have the chance to meet women who are in the same field as you and women who are in a different field than you. They could possibly give you advice on what classes to take or what classes to avoid, what clubs to join and more. Also, you may build a long-lasting friendship while you’re at it!

Self-Reflecting
Retreats give a great opportunity to reflect on your past and future. Life as a college student is so busy and hectic. It’s impossible to stop and realize how much you’ve grown as an individual. Retreats will have activities that help you reflect on your past such as bond fires where you reflect on your past regrets and eat s’mores afterward. Also, there are writing activities such as writing letters to your future self and past self. These activities help you meditate and discover yourself even further for a clearer mindset.

Crafty
If you love arts and crafts such as macaroni art you will love retreats. There are many opportunities that allow your creative spunk to come out.

Hello, it’s fun and relaxing!
School is very stressful and retreats could give you that getaway you need. There are tons of fun games and activities to do at retreats such as volleyball, board games, and paddle boarding just to name a few. Also, there will be plenty of free time to sit down and admire nature instead of trying to stay up to cram tomorrows exam.
