Hey collegiettes™!
As the school year comes to a close, you no longer have to use search engines for boring school stuff anymore. Gone are the days where you have to search for philosophical theories or stats for your research paper. Now you can search for directions to the beach, cute summer internship outfits, and tasty summer restaurants!
And just in time, Bing is changing the way you search. They’re amping up the way you get information, and adding friends, family, experts and enthusiasts into the mix!
By partnering with popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and coming soon Quora, FourSquare, LinkedIn and more, Bing is bringing your friends into search! When you search for something, Bing also offers up your Facebook friends who might know about your search based on their ‘likes’, profile or recent photos they have shared. Additionally, Bing will identify experts and enthusiasts across Twitter and from blogs to bring you even more information on what you’re looking for. And if all else fails, Bing allows you to ask a question right within the search experience to get help from your Facebook friends, so you can get answers and opinions.
Plus, Bing makes it easy to help your friends with their searches. With the activity feed you can answer questions, provide advice, and give opinions on the topics that your friends are searching for.
And speaking of being social, you can get social with Bing & Her Campus in NYC on July 9th. In celebration of the new Bing, Her Campus and Bing are celebrating with an evening of complimentary drinks, appetizers, music, prizes, socializing, and fun seeing the new Bing in action.
