Best Lip Looks for Winter 2016 under $10
As the air gets colder and drier, it seems to become an everyday challenge to keep keep our skin hydrated and healthy. Most days, my makeup routine will consist of tinted moisturizer, bronzer to give my face a little glow, and a quick swipe of mascara. However, if I’m feeling a little more feminine that day, I’ll throw on some lipstick to brighten up my face.
Before I do any lip look I start with the Elf Lip Exfoliator. It exfoliates my lips while simultaneously moisturizing them. It is by far the best lip exfoliator I have found at the drugstore.

Matte lipsticks have been all the rage since Kylie Jenner’s liquid lipsticks came into the beauty scene. Colourpop has come out with a slew of liquid lipsticks to give you the famous Kylie lip look without having to break the bank. LAX is an ox-blood color that will stay matte all day long.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Instanbul
NYX is one of the drugstore brands to always keep an eye on. Their lip cream lipstick formula tops almost all others I have tried.
Colourpop Lippie Stix in Aquarius
The Colourpop Lippie Stix are definitely becoming a cult favorite in the beauty world. They come in a variety of different colors and finishes such as satin, sheer and matte. Aquarius is the perfect brown lip to give off some serious 90’s vibes.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip in Love
Just because the holiday season is over doesn’t mean we need to put away our red lipstick. A good red lip is crucial to any girl’s makeup collection. The Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipsticks goes on wet, but dries to a touchable finish and lasts all night long.
NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Nude Pink + Colourpop Lippie Stix in Kiddo
This has become my go-to nude lip look combo. The matte finish of the lipliner underneath the sheer finish of the Lippie Stix makes this the perfect day-time look for class or work.
Covergirl Queen Collection Lipstick in Mocha Locha
Covergirl teamed up with Queen Latifa to create this lipstick collection for women of color. I absolutely love this lipstick and how it excentuates lips on darker skin tones. It’s a nude brown and gives lips a soft, yet bold color.
E.L.F Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose
This nude-y lavender-y shade is absolute perfection for anyone with pale to light skin (perfect for wintertime). It is one of the few matte shades I have found at the drugstore that don’t dry my lips out, but will stay on all day.
Peripera Peri’s Tint Water in Pink Juice
I received this lip tint in my Birchbox this past month and can’t get enough of it! It’s subtle enough for the day, but bold enough to transition into nightime. I also use it as a cheek tint to give my face a little pink boost.
