Most people know that lavender is a stress relieving and calming flower that can come in many forms such as essential oil, the flower itself, and lavender oil. A lot of people like to drink tea that contains lavender when they are feeling stressed and anxious. What about those who dislike tea? Lavender lemonade is the way to go. Below is a recipe for lavender lemonade to help relieve your anxiety.

Ingredients:

  • 6-7 cups of water

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1-1.5 cups of fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 6 large lemons)

  • 2 tablespoons of dried lavender flowers

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Bring 2 cups of water and sugar to a boil.

  2. Once boiled, remove from the heat and add lavender. Cover and let stand for 2-4 hours.

  3. Strain discarding the lavender. Stir in lemon juice, vanilla and remaining water.

  4. Chill, serve over ice and enjoy!

*Remember to only add a small amount of lavender because this is very strong and won’t taste like lemonade if you use too much!
