Thanksgiving week in college typically means finals are around the corner and it’s time to get serious about your classes. Here at Florida State, Thanksgiving week only means one thing: UF hate week. UF hate week is an annual week during Thanksgiving break where the students of Florida State liberally hate on UF and nobody can say anything about it because the annual FSU/UF football game is finally here! Unfortunately, this year the game is at the University of Florida (don’t worry we’ve compiled a survival guide for you here), but that won’t stop the Seminoles from bringing home a victory. If you attend FSU, UF or you’re simply a fan, then you’ve probably made a comment about the rivalry game at some point in your life.Â

2. “Why are tickets to this game so expensive….? Wait, UF students actually PAY for their student tickets?!”
3. “Even if we lose, at least our colors are better than theirs… nobody looks good in orange anyway.”
4. “Wait does the band actually play the Jaws theme song? Their mascot is an alligator, not a shark…”
5. “FSU has won the past four out of five meetings, the odds are definitely in our favor.”
6. “I don’t care if we have lost every other game in the season, as long as we beat UF.”
7. “If we lose, I’m not talking to anyone from UF or going on social media for a week.”
8. “Remember that one time two UF players blocked each other… good times.”
9. “Why are UF fans still so obsessed with Tim Tebow? He hasn’t been relevant since 2009!”
10. “All I want for Christmas is a FSU victory over UF.”
11. “Remember that one time when UF students actually boycotted their own head coach?”
12. “The last time UF beat FSU in the Swamp was when Tim Tebow was still relevant.”
13. “Remember when UF’s QB claimed performance enhancing drugs were an over the counter supplement?”
14. “If FSU loses I have to face my family who are UF fans.”
15. “The last time the Seminoles played in the Swamp, FSU won 37-7…”
