We all have those days where our classes seem to last forever, leaving us with little time to get food or go home and make some. One of the biggest struggles for college kids is trying to satisfy your hunger in a healthy way, especially during a busy day. The easiest way to stay satisfied during your crazy busy class days is to pack healthy and filling snacks! The trick to healthy eating is knowing whatâs actually good for you and what foods will satisfy your hunger the longest. Here are some healthy snacks to help you get through your worst class schedules. Happy snacking!     Â
1. Pretzels & Hummus
Pretzels are undeniably delicious on their own, and they come in so many different varieties so this is a snack that pleases all. Hummus, too, comes in multiple flavors and bases, not just chickpeas! When you combine these two, youâre getting a small portion of carbs (I promise, theyâre not bad for you) and protein all in one. This is the perfect on-the-go snack because you can find snack-sized pretzel bags and snack-sized hummus, so you can control your portions and satisfy your hunger all in one!
2. Trail Mix
Trail mix is arguably the snack with the most variety, considering you can make whatever kind youâd like. To keep it healthy, try combining a mix of nuts, fruit, pretzels and/or granola clusters, seeds and some dark chocolate. Combining all those ingredients will provide you with a healthy and delicious snack packed with protein, iron and vitamins and minerals! Not to mention chocolate, because is any snack really complete without chocolate? This snack is perfect for your busy days because you can make your own by combining all of your favorites treats!

3. Fruit Slices & Peanut Butter
There is no better healthy snack than some good âol fruit. Combine your favorite fruit with peanut butter and you have a well-rounded, filling and healthy snack for your busiest of days. I would suggest apple slices or bananas but you can pair anything with peanut butter if youâre into that. If peanut butter isnât your jam, you can substitute for almond or cashew butter! For all my peanut allergy people, you can find sunflower seed butter and use that as a substitute.
4. Kale Chips Â
This one is for all my fellow veggie and green lovers out there. Kale has been highly promoted in todayâs social media society by the likes of people like Miley Cyrus and the Kardashians. Letâs face it, if the Kardashians endorse it, then we should too! Not only are kale chips delicious but they are incredibly easy to make on your own! All the recipe calls for is kale, olive oil and salt. An easy, delicious and time effective way to get your daily dose of greens and satisfy your hunger.
5. Rice Cakes
Rice cakes are arguably one of the best food inventions of all time. For one, they come in a variety of flavors and sizes, so you can buy a mini pack and take them to go or pack a few full-sized cakes in your bag! This low-calorie snack is the perfect guilt-free food for those crazy days where you just canât seem to catch a break.Â
