The 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place this past Sunday, and fans were not left disappointed with the star-studded moments of the evening.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt

Possibly the most exciting event of the night, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt shared quite a few special moments together throughout the evening. The internet has not stopped talking about this reunion since the moment happened, and rightfully so. The couple split in 2005 when Pitt left Jen for Angelina Jolie. The two are arguably one of the internet’s favorite ex-couples, so I think it’s safe to say that everyone was low-key rooting for the reunion to finally happen. The two were spotted backstage after congratulating each other on both of their big wins.
Jennifer Aniston snags a surprise win…

Jennifer Aniston was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Alex Levy in The Morning Show on Apple TV+. This was a surprise win for the actress, as she had been nominated for a Golden Globe just a few weeks prior and was beat out by Olivia Colman for her role in The Crown on Netflix. She was just as surprised as everyone else, as the actress cried while accepting her award. Her speech was nothing short of amazing, shouting out fellow actors such as Reese Witherspoon and Adam Sandler. This was Aniston’s second SAG Award, with the first being in 2002 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her iconic role as Rachel Green in Friends. She has made history by being the first person in history to win an award for both Lead Actor in a Comedy Series as well as Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
…and Brad Pitt stopped to watched it happen

So, it turns out Sunday night was just one big Jen and Brad moment. Brad Pitt was backstage doing press for his newly won award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture when Jen won her award. He stopped to look at the screen backstage and watch her speech, a smile on his face the whole time. This totally brought out the Bradifer ship in all of us.
Big Little Lies Reunion

Big Little Lies on HBO kicked award show season’s butt two years ago for their first season. The show then got renewed for a second season which aired in late 2019 and it ended with quite the cliffhanger. Fans are eagerly waiting to hear if the show will be renewed yet again for its third season. Although, the renewal is very unlikely due to the star-studded cast and their full schedules. For now, we’ll have to survive with this reunion picture.
Red Carpet High Kick

Forget walking the red carpet. Zoe Bell, an action star from New Zealand, high-kicked down the red carpet. She showed up wearing a gorgeous white dress, and might I add, some pretty high heels. Instead of striking your normal red-carpet pose, Bell high kicked for all of the paparazzi, leaving everyone shocked.
Joaquin Phoenix honors Heath Ledger

Joaquin Phoenix accepted his award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture for his portrayal of the Joker. The actor shouted out many of the other nominees in the category, telling them how much he loved their work and how much of an inspiration they had been to him. However, most of his time was spent praising Heath Ledger, the original Joker in The Dark Knight. Ledger passed away shortly after the film was released in 2008.
Scarlett Johansson lost Colin Jost

The recently engaged couple walked the silver carpet together and did not disappoint. The two shared an adorable moment when Scarlett thought she lost Colin in a crowd of people on the carpet. It was the sweetest interaction between them, and this picture totally proves it.
Renee Zellweger thanks Tom Cruise

He had her at hello… Renee Zellweger took home the award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Motion Picture for her portrayal of Judy Garland in Judy. In her speech, she shouted out Tom Cruise, who she starred alongside in Jerry Maguire. Zellweger shouted out Cruise by thanking him for “your example of professionalism on set and striving for excellence and generosity and unconditional kindness.” I know we’re all secretly waiting for a reboot of this iconic film.
Mark your calendars, the next award show is the Oscars on Sunday, Feb. 9!
