Ned Fulmer Cheats On Wife at a Harry Styles Concert

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Ned Fulmer gained fame when he joined three other Buzzfeed coworkers, Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld, to create The Try Guys in 2014. The group is known for posting YouTube videos of themselves trying different things for the first time and recording their reactions. These videos ranged from wearing heels for a night, baking without a recipe and using a labor simulator, among other things. In 2018, The Try Guys announced that they were leaving Buzzfeed, but would continue working as an independent studio. They have amassed over 2.2 billion views, 500+ episodes and 7.8 million subscribers, and have an entire team of employees working with them.

In the group, Ned Fulmer was known for always talking about how much he loved his wife and children. It became a joke online and fans even made videos every time Fulmer mentioned his wife in a Try Guys video. Fulmer’s wife, Ariel Fulmer, was featured in numerous videos on The Try Guys’ channel and is a founder of The Try Wives, where the significant others of The Try Guys posted videos. The Try Wives even created a podcast titled “You Can’t Sit with Us” where they discuss their relationships, lives and experiences. Ariel Fulmer is also in just about every video on Ned Fulmer’s self-titled personal channel, which has been transformed into a family channel since the couple welcomed their two baby boys.

On Sept. 1, Ned was seen at a Harry Styles concert in New York City with employee Alexandria Herring where the pair were photographed kissing. The images were sent to Herring’s fiancĂ©, who then approached Ariel Fulmer to tell her about the pair’s infidelity.

On Tuesday, it was officially confirmed online that Ned cheated on his wife with an employee. He confessed in an Instagram post of a screenshot from his notes app where he stated, “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship.” The confession left the internet very confused since many knew Fulmer’s online presence as a loving and dedicated husband. Fans were especially shocked because the Fulmers have previously held seminars at various universities about the ethics of a healthy relationship, and this was Ned acting against that.

The Try Guys then announced that Fulmer will no longer be a part of the group with a public statement declaring that “Ned Fulmer is no longer working with the Try Guys. As a result of a thorough internal review, we do not see a path forward together. We thank you for your support as we navigate this change.”

Although many are sad to see the group become a trio, most fans are appreciative of The Try Guys’ transparency regarding the scandal. Fans have said that they are proud to see The Try Guys are not defending Fulmer and sticking to their morals, even if it means separating after eight years of working together and a decade of friendship.

As for the future, Ariel and Ned Fulmer have stated that they are focusing on their family to get through this tough time. Some fans thought this meant they will work to stay together but then noticed Ariel took ‘Wife’ out of her Instagram bio, so there is no way to know the fate of their relationship at this time. Fans are hoping The Try Guys bring in employee and frequent guest on the channel, Kwesi James, as the new fourth member, but so far that is just speculation and they are expected to continue as a trio.
