I don’t know about you, but I’m trying to make the most of the time I have left at FSU. With graduation approaching, I’m attempting to fill my days doing the things I love most here. From my favorite study spots to sporting events and restaurants, I don’t want to regret missing anything once I’m gone.
While it’s still early in the semester, now is the perfect time to create your bucket list. While there are a number of “universal” must-dos for Florida State, your bucket list has to include things that are specific to you. Personalizing your bucket list with your favorite things, places you still haven’t visited, or events you have yet to attend is the best way to make your last remaining days memorable.
In order to personalize your bucket list, start thinking of everything that you have to do at least one more time. This could be finally going to that sporting event you never attended, visiting your favorite local restaurant, or going to that special place on campus you absolutely love. I also like to include things that I used to do but haven’t recently, just so I feel that I’ve done the most I can while I’m still here. If you want to make this even more fun, spend a night making your bucket list with your friends or roommates!
I split up my bucket list into categories, making it easier to organize and keep track of everything. Here’s a list of some of the items from my previous semester’s bucket list to give you some inspiration.
Campus
This is where you can add your favorite study spots and on-campus activities that you won’t be able to do again when you’re not a student anymore. Some of my favorite spots on campus that I want to visit at least one more time are Dodd Hall, the Student Union, and Landis. When it comes to activities, going bowling in the Student Union, watching a movie at the Askew Student Life Center, and doing a group fitness class at the Leach are all on my bucket list.
Outdoors
Throughout my time at FSU, I’ve gone on walks around campus and areas in Tallahassee with friends. I’ve even visited the Rez and had beach days in the warmer months! I’m including my favorite outdoor locations and activities on my bucket list like walking the Cascades Park Loop and Lafayette Trail, going kayaking at the Rez, visiting a nearby spring, and having a beach day at Alligator Point or Carrabelle. Â
Social
I’m including any kind of sporting event, night out with friends at our favorite bars and restaurants, and general activities under this category. This includes finishing a drinking challenge at Madison Social, going to a basketball and baseball game, going to a rooftop bar, and going to a concert, to name a few. If you have any favorite spots with your friends or if there are still things you haven’t done, put them on your bucket list.
This is just a shortened version of my bucket list, but I’m using it as a way to be more intentional with my time before I graduate. Make sure to include the things you love and the places you’ve been dying to go to so you’ll feel fulfilled once you leave FSU and Tallahassee.
