CHAARG is coming to Florida State University in the spring! This is the time to be an FSU student. If you aren’t familiar with CHAARG, it’ll help to know it stands for, “Changing Health, Attitudes, and Actions to Recreate Girls.” CHAARG was started by an Ohio State college swimmer who wanted to create a community for the women on her campus to work out together. Elisabeth Taviern, founder, and president of CHAARG shares that her intentions behind creating the CHAARG community were to empower women and promote healthy routines like meal plans and workout routines. Now that FSU is a CHAARG chapter a part of 50 college campuses, you too can become a member of this national community with 7,000+ girls.

“My goal is to bring CHAARG to every university in the United States — if not the world. Ultimately though, my mission is to empower every CHAARG girl to be the best version of herself. I truly hope that all of our members find their passion for health + fitness — whatever that means to them. While CHAARG focuses a lot on fitness, living a healthy life is so much more than the physical aspect. I hope all of our members grow to embrace a healthy + happy lifestyle. I hope that they find a supportive + encouraging community + that they meet not only workout buddies, but lifelong friends.”

So, what exactly do you do in CHAARG? Once you are a member, you will have access to “members only” content like meal plans including recipes and workout plans. But don’t worry, you won’t be working out alone! The FSU CHAARG executive team will serve as leaders, forming groups of girls and meeting on specific days and times to lead a workout session. These group workouts are your resource for building muscle and new friends! Not to mention, I heard the apparel for CHAARG is cute enough to make you want to join.
