I’ve been on the hunt for a flawless concealer for the longest time. With my lack of sleep and stress over classes, I’ve developed bags under my eyes and news flash: they’re not designer. If you don’t know what concealer is, don’t worry, I got you covered.

Concealer is a type of cosmetic that color corrects blemishes, dark spots, under-eye circles, and age spots. It can be used to contour and intensify your look or highlight certain areas on your face. It can also make all your worries go away.
After spending countless dollars trying to find the right one for my dry-oily skin and endless YouTube review video watching, I decided to give two well-known brands a test. I purchased Tarte’s Shape Tape Contour Concealer and Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, and I’m here to find out if they’re really worth the hype. Let’s find out.

First thing first, this bottle comes with a HUGE applicator tip. This ends up picking a lot of excess product that you may have to scrape on the side. So, for this product, a little goes a long way. When I applied it underneath my eyes, the product consistency felt smooth and velvety. It did feel a little heavy, but with one application, I was done. This is important if, like me, you’re rushing in the morning to get to class. Applying makeup in a hurry should honestly be considered a sport.
After blending it underneath my eyes with a beauty blender, the product finish left my skin looking radiant. There were absolutely no uneven patches of missing product, it even filled in my lines and pores without looking clogged, or dry. It completely brightened up my skin tone and made me look alive once again. The best part is that it sits on your skin for a long time without fading the slightest. I attended four classes and at the end of the day, the concealer was still holding up as if I just applied it. If you’re looking for a full-coverage, long-lasting, skin-brightening concealer, this is the product for you.

My favorite thing about this product is the scent of vanilla it gives off. At least that’s the scent I picked up on; some of my friends thought it reeked of paint. But anyhow, the product name completely matches the product itself; it really is weightless. It has a watery, glowing sheer consistency, rather than a creamy heavy one. After one application, I could still see my dark circles. With another coating, they were semi-gone and left me with a hydrated glow. Because this is so lightweight and buildable, I found that my skin was eating up a lot of the product. After I spent a whole day attending classes, the concealer faded mid-way through the day. I then noticed that it settled unpleasantly into my lines and made them even more noticeable with a dry, cracked appearance.
A pleasant feature about this concealer is that no matter how much product you put on, it feels as if nothing is on your skin because of how delicate the texture is. If you’re in need of a concealer that’s buildable and feels weightless on your skin, Urban Decay is the way to go.
And the winner is…
