The film world’s best Spider-Man (or, at least, the first one to generate more than $1 billion from a single film) has had quite the eventful few weeks, even from the confines of his home.

Early into his quarantine, Tom Holland went live on Instagram with his brothers (Harry, Sam and Pat), during which they completed a puzzle and spoke about their registered charity: The Brother’s Trust. This organization focuses on giving a voice to charities that struggle to gain footing in the seemingly never-ending sea of existing non-profit organizations. It was founded by Holland’s parents, Nikki and Dom Holland, but Tom functions as the main focal point of the fundraising efforts.

After the aforementioned live Instagram, the Holland family continued with their puzzle war over the next few days. On  March 22, he reportedly woke up not feeling well. After announcing this on Instagram, a few fans took to Twitter to proclaim their concern. Ultimately, nothing came from it and he seems to be doing fine now.

Via Instagram, The Brother’s Trust made an exciting announcement about a donation from the Anthony Nolan Charity, which focuses on saving the lives of individuals with blood cancer.

Holland has also had some fun while in quarantine. He participated in a fitness challenge that doesn’t seem to have an official name but has been dubbed by some as the “Coronavirus T-shirt Social Media. Challenge.” This challenge requires participants to put on a t-shirt while doing a handstand. Because the challenge was posted to his story, the original content is gone. Thankfully, this Twitter user managed to post the video to her account. You can find that here. He also challenged his Spiderman: Far from Home co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal, to complete the challenge. While Gyllenhaal’s original post has also expired, a Twitter user came to the world’s rescue again and posted the video here. Holland also challenged Ryan Reynolds, who responded humorously and ultimately decided not to do it, and Harrison Osterfield.

For the most part, responses have been overwhelmingly positive; the majority being dedicated fans who celebrate at the chance to see their favorite actors shirtless (see: the linked tweets). However, some viewers believed Holland and Gyllenhaal to be playing an unnecessarily dangerous game during a pandemic. USAToday, specifically, was not very amused.

Rumor has it that Holland has also ended his nine-month romantic relationship with childhood friend Olivia Bolton. Because of Holland’s determination to keep his dating life private, exact details are difficult to come by. According to Daily Mail, the two have decided they are better off as friends. Why this information broke during an international pandemic is hard to decipher, but one cannot argue with the Internet.

In a very Tom Holland manner, he also decided to adopt three chickens, in order to deal with the current egg shortage in the UK.

His career doesn’t seem to have been impacted too much by the virus; Onward (2020) was quickly moved from the movie theater to Disney+. This was considered to be a historic move for the film world; there wasn’t much of choice, however, with movie theaters closing indefinitely around the world

At the end of the day, Tom Holland seems to be enjoying his quarantine, and it’s safe to say that he hopes you are too.
