Name: Taylor Layne-Grzybowski
Year: Junior
Hometown: Davie, Florida
Major: Social Sciences
Her Campus (HC): What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Taylor Layne-Grzybowski (TG): As of now, Scandal. I just finished Prison Break. But on live TV I watch American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, and Ray Donovan.
HC: Wow, that’s a lot of shows! What’s your record for fastest you’ve ever watched a show on Netflix?
TG: Probably Orange Is the New Black. It took me about 3 days. But I was recovering from a surgery so that’s my excuse!
HC: What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
TG: When I open the door for someone and they don’t say “thank you.”Â
HC: Fair enough. What about your most embarrassing story?
TG: Okay so in middle school my mom made me join the basketball team, but I’m really not good at basketball so the coach would only put me in when we were winning by a lot. One time I got to play and I actually got the ball and I start running down the court and I was completely open—there was no one around me. I made it to the hoop and shoot and everyone shouts “NO!” and it was only then I realized that I was shooting on our own net. I didn’t even make the shot. That was pretty embarrassing.
HC: Weird food combo you love?
TG: I put mustard on my bagels with cream cheese. Only certain types of bagels though.
HC: One thing on your bucket list?
TG: I want to ride an elephant in Thailand.
HC: What is your favorite part about being a student at Florida State?
TG: I love how the teachers are so willing to help you succeed in their classes. You can make an appointment to meet with them or go to their office hours whenever you need help.
HC: What is your go-to Halloween costume?
TG: I really want to dress up as a Beanie Baby this year! The ones with the “ty” tag, you know? Probably a bear.
HC: Favorite candy?
TG: The big chewy SweetTarts.
HC: Last question, what’s one thing you wish you knew as a freshman?
TG: I wish I knew that studying is different from high school—you can’t only study the night before the test and expect to get an A. You have to start studying at least a couple days in advance. And you can’t do homework on the day its due in college.
