Jeffree Star is a widely recognized name worldwide, but if you aren’t involved in the makeup or YouTube community, you may not know who he is. Star is not only a YouTuber but also an entrepreneur, makeup artist and formerly a singer-songwriter. He released the following albums and EPs: Beauty Killer, Concealer, Virginity, Plastic Surgery Slumber Party, Cupcakes Taste Like Violence and Mr. Diva.
Since November 2014, he has been the founder and owner of Jeffree Star Cosmetics. He is self-made and even distributes merchandise for a variety of other YouTubers. Most makeup companies are not figure-headed by a specific person, but many YouTubers have started to spearhead their brands, such as Tati, Laura Le and KathleenLights.
Jeffree is wildly successful, as demonstrated by his mansion and numerous cars, where some are even painted pink. What’s more interesting about Star is the creativity and artistry behind his makeup. The makeup community is a growing group full of like-minded and inventive people. To be as well respected and recognized as Jeffree Star in this community takes a lot of effort. Unlike many other brands, Jeffree Star Cosmetics has unique packaging and crazy color combinations, in which each eyeshadow in his palettes contains a pan design. Jeffree is daring to say the least, and his fans find it admirable. His “Cremated” palette sold out in under 20 minutes in May 2020, and since then, Jeffree has come out with numerous new products and collections. These include “Orgy,” “Blood Money” and “Pink Religion.”
When this article is published, Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ newest collection, “Pricked,” will have been released. The official launch date is Sep. 24 at 10:00 a.m. EST. This collection is fall-inspired, and Jeffree has been posting sneak peeks on his Instagram, which fans have received well. Interestingly, this collection is being released only a few weeks after his previous collection, “Pink Religion.” Seeing another drop this soon was unexpected because typically, Jeffree Star Cosmetics only releases a few collections per year. While Pink Religion was full of color, the “Pricked” palette is more toned down and wearable for everyday looks. This has the potential to appeal to a broader audience since most makeup users tend to go for a more neutral look rather than one with bright colors.
Always staying fun and fresh, the new palette is made to look like a designer bag. It is closed with a clasp which we have seen before from Jeffree. The collection includes an 18-pan palette that consists of neutral and warm fall-inspired tones. It also contains six shades of gloss which all have an orange creamsicle scent. Additionally, there are three mascaras in shades Brown, Coral and Blood Orange. Two shades of highlighter powders and three flavors of Velour Lip Scrub are also a part of the collection.
Jeffree also never fails to include special mirrors in his big collections, and this time, he created three crown hand mirrors in different fall-themed colors. The collective price of the bundle is $375, but customers can buy products individually as well.
