We’re back with another themed week on the site: Beauty Week. This semester, Her Campus FSU has created themed weeks dedicated to exclusive content we believe all of our readers should have access to. Keep up on the site for the next few days as we tackle everything from the best beauty brands to follow to the much-debated brazilian. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this.
New York Fashion Week 2016 wrapped up on Thursday, Feb. 18Â with a show stopping Marc Jacobs presentation that featured the surprise appearance of pop star Lady Gaga on the runway. While the shows may be over and the street style stars have gone home everyone is still buzzing about the emerging Fall 2016 trends that were seen on the runways of fashion giants like Alexander Wang, Marchesa, Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung and more. New York Fashion Week is not just about designers showcasing their collections. Renowned makeup artists, manicurists, and hairstylists also take center stage as they create trend-setting looks that will potentially change the makeup game forever. The beauty trends emerging from New York Fashion Week 2016 are held together by one common thread: boldness. What could be bolder than indigo lips? Or daring to dye your hair platinum blonde? Or, boldest of all, to go bare faced? Read on to find out the hottest beauty trends at New York Fashion Week 2016!

Braids are no longer just for the boho chic. Sleek, slicked back braids cropped up at Christian Siriano, while styles ranging from cool girl fishtail to romantic milkmaid crown braids walked the runways of Rachel Zoe, Mansur Gavriel and more.
2. Â Barely There Makeup

Say goodbye to your contour kit and hello to fresh, minimalist faces. Nearly makeup-less models were seen on the runways at Michael Kors, Narcisco Rodriguez and Vera Wang, among others.
3. Soft Pink Lips

This look was everywhere at New York Fashion Week. Romantic, baby pink lips were on display at Tory Burch and Prabal Gurung shows, while glossier versions appeared at Baja East and Reem Acra.
4. Bold Brows

Naturally thick-browed girls rejoice: the trend endures. However, the trend seems to have shifted slightly from perfectly filled-in to the imperfectly wild brows at Narcisco Rodriguez and Karen Walker.
5. Indigo Blue

This bold, universally flattering color cropped up across multiple runway shows, such as Anna K and Gypsy Sport, appearing on everything from kohl-rimmed eyes to daring lips. Feeling wary about trying this trend out? Opt for an indigo manicure!
6. Bleached Blondes

Another trend that cropped up across multiple runway shows from stylistically different designers is the little to no visible makeup paired with a seriously bold lip in colors ranging from deep reds and flattering plums to wilder choices like lilac and shimmery turquoise.

It’s official: bangs are back! If you’ve been dying to take the plunge, now’s the time to hit up your hairdresser to get the runway look as seen at Anna Sui, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and more.
