What’s your major?
Spanish
Where’s your hometown?
Valdosta, GA
What are some of your hobbies?
I love cooking, artsy activities, Pilates, volunteering, and traveling.
What kind of volunteering do you do?
I volunteer at a hospital. It’s great! I get to play with kids. Since I speak Spanish, I also volunteer at the ESOL programs at church.
What is something interesting you’ve done lately?
I have a commercial on radio. I was volunteering for children’s miracle network recently. They have a Spanish radio station. Since I’m bilingual they asked me to record a demo for a Halloween commercial for the station.
What’s your favorite travel destination? When did you go?
Chile. Spring semester, 2012. I loved it because everyone there has a spirit of adventure. They really believe you can do anything. It’s a very free spirited culture. I did so many things I otherwise wouldn’t have tried because I had people encouraging me. For example, I went horseback riding with machetes in the forest, went white water rafting, jumped off cliffs. They really enjoy life. Their attitudes made me more comfortable there.
