As the fall season arrives, so do all the fun activities to visit and participate in with your friends. Fall is one of the most festive seasons, and the activities during this time can seem endless, but it all depends on which ones catch your attention the most. Arizona can become a beacon for festivals, fairs, corn mazes, haunted houses, pumpkin patches, and more during this time of year. Here are a few of the many fun activities available to explore with your friends during this fall season.
Haunted Houses
Haunted houses seem like a tradition in this spooky/fall season. If you are ready to scream, you’ve got a few options to choose from. Some major haunted houses are open now, starting with Fear Farm in Glendale. Fear Farm is the most famous haunted house and corn maze in Arizona. It has various haunted houses and a huge corn maze to wander through. Another popular haunted house is named Terror Nights, located in Tempe, AZ. The best part of Terror Nights is that admission is free. This haunted house is a charity event, and while the admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated.
Pumpkin patches
Pumpkin patches always give a fall feeling. Though there are many to choose from, a few provide an extra fall feeling while being fun. Mother’s Nature Farm can be considered a one-stop shop for pumpkins. It hosts sales for fall decorations at Maneau’s Market, pumpkins, a hayride, access to Alexander’s Adventure Maze, the spider web crawl, and the opportunity to participate in the petting zoo. Another unique pumpkin patch is Mesa’s Vertuccio Farms. It includes a 5-acre corn maze, painting pumpkins, farm animals, farmers markets, pumpkin bowling, a zip line, and other farm-inspired obstacles to climb, slide, and bounce your way through. Tickets for both patches can be purchased in advance online. Prices may vary.
Fall Festivals
Arizona’s Fall Festival has been around for 17 years and includes over 200 vendors. The festival supports small businesses and is held in Downtown Phoenix in Margaret T. Hance Park. The family and pet-friendly festival includes samples from over 40 of Phoenix’s top restaurants, inviting guests to taste their products, such as coffees, ice cream, hot sauce, burritos, dumplings, and more. There are also samples from local breweries, wineries, and spirits producers for those guests over 21 years old. This event is on Nov. 4th. Another festival coming up is the Phoenix Pizza Festival. Also located in Margaret T. Hance Park, it celebrates around 20 of the valley’s best pizza makers as they all gather with their ovens to fill the festival with pies. You can also expect live bands, lawn games, beer, and wine. This event is a two-day festival happening on Nov. 11-12.
