The next semester is just around the corner which means a semester of binge watching shows is just around the bend. In case you didn’t know Spotify offers a deal for college students where they can get Spotify Premium for $4.99 that also includes a Hulu add subscription and Showtime. There are thousands of shows and movies on Hulu that you can watch with your friends and family. Although it sucks that ads are included, it doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy a great series. Here are the top 3 early 2000’s shows you should binge this Thanksgiving break!

First things first is One Tree Hill. One Tree Hill is my all-time favorite show because it expresses family, friendship, and relationships in a very realistic way. I feel like the teen drama shows these days don’t compare to the classic and rawness that is One Tree Hill. One Tree Hill is a teen drama that centers around main character Lucas Scott who lives with his mother Karen Roe. He’s a street basketball player who plays with his friends at their local outside basketball court. Nathan Scott is Lucas’ half brother from their father Dan Scott, the antagonist. He is on the their school’s basketball team and he and Lucas become rivals. It also follows the brother romances and the drama between their families. If my description didn’t sell it well enough, let me just say Chad Michael Murray stars as Lucas! One Tree Hill also has a huge focus on music and if you’re a music junkie like me, this is the show for you! I recommend One Tree Hill one hundred percent! https://www.indiewire.com/2016/06/ugly-betty-revival-america-ferrera-hulu-special-1201688034/

Now the second show I highly recommend is Ugly Betty. I’m going to be honest when tell you I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with this show, but it was a pleasant surprise. Ugly Betty sounds like it’s going to be depressing, but it’s not. It stars America Ferra as Betty Suarez who gets a job at a top tier fashion magazine company in New York City. She meets lots of people who are superficial, but end up having pretty understanding personalities. The show also centers around Betty’s family, who are of Latino descent, and what it’s like living in the inner city in Queens, New York. This show is dramedy. It has the perfect amount of comedy and drama to keep your eyes glued to whatever screen you’re watching from.

The last show I recommend watching is Good Trouble. If you’re a fan of The Fosters like I am, you’d love this show! This show centers around Callie and Mariana Adams Foster in their adult life. Callie is trying to work as a lawyer while Mariana is working in the male-dominated tech field. They also go through drama regarding relationships and betrayal. It’s just an overall great show. I’m not quite done with it, but from the reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, which is a 100% I’m sure you’ll like it as well!
Well there you have it! The three shows you must watch during your next semester! It may seem like a lot, but you’ll thank me later!
