After Covid-19 postponed Harry Styles’s second US tour, Love on Tour, we are finally getting to a point where we can go out and enjoy live music again! I personally feel like I’ve had these tickets for forever (even though it’s only been a couple of years), so it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that I’ll be seeing him perform at Madison Square Garden in less than a month! In honor of the concert being so close, I figured why not break down the things that I’m excited for about the concert!
1. The fashion
If you’re on TikTok, you may have seen some videos here and there of Harry Styles concert goers showing off their high fashion outfits. As I’ve said before, Love On Tour seems like a fashion show that Harry Styles just happens to be playing at! Those who are attending have worn boas, glitter, sparkles, you name it. The pressure is on to wear a good outfit come October 4!
2. Harry Styles & the Whale
If you’ve ever been to a Harry Styles concert or have watched videos of him performing live, you’d know that the Whale, putting a bunch of water in your mouth and then spitting it out like a Whale (hence the name), is something that happens at almost every Harry concert! After watching so many videos of Harry doing the Whale, it will be so surreal seeing it live!
3. Seeing “Kiwi” performed live
The song “Kiwi” is a song off of Harry’s first album. This fun, upbeat, rock-infused song is usually performed as Harry’s encore performance and it is a performance to remember. Of course Harry is energetic when performing his other songs, but “Kiwi” just hits different. Not to mention that the song itself is fantastic!
4. The merchandise
While the merchandise for Love on Tour has faced some criticism, I personally love it! While some bits are quite expensive (who is going to pay $40 for a hat?), there are other more affordable alternatives that are just as cute! I know for a fact that I will be buying the tote bag with two hares on it, and a t-shirt in the same design!
5. The overall environment
When I saw One Direction while I was 13, the environment was one of a kind. Being with a giant group of people who love One Direction (or in this case, Harry Styles) is a feeling like no other. The tour is essentially a giant party, and I’m impatiently waiting my turn to experience it!
