Meet Her Campus at Saint Joseph’s University!
Introduce yourselves CCs!
Hi! My name Tayler (yes, spelled with an “E”), and I am from Chester County, PA. I got to Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and study Political Science and English. I have two dogs, Tank and Titus, and a betta fish named Triton. Reading and writing are my two passions, and besides being CC, I work at St. Joe’s as The Hawk opinions editor. I also love plants and Brie cheese :)
How big is your committee? And your chapter size?
Our chapter is pretty small with about 10 women. A lot of our members graduated in the past two years, so we’re in the rebuilding process.
What events have you run this semester?
This semester, our main event was Hawktoberfest. It’s exactly what it sounds like, St. Joe’s version of Oktoberfest but without the beer. St. Joe’s clubs came together and held fall themed activities (outside and socially distanced). Our HC Chapter had spooky rock painting, which was a big hit!
What are your goals for the rest of the year?
Our goals for the rest of the year are to rebuild our chapter and achieve the next chapter level status by May. We’re a really small group, so it can be hard, but joining the HC Sister Chapter program was a great way for us to get started.
Link your three favorite articles published on your chapter this semester.
We didn’t publish many articles this semester, so I’d have to say our top article would be by our newest member Annie Winkler. She wrote about prioritizing mental health in the age of COVID and online learning. This article was really well-written and gave great tips on getting motivated to have a strong school year.
