Her Campus Media toured the east coast to put on four fashion shows showcasing what REAL college women look like. The tour started in Boston and then went to NYC, Washington DC, and Atlanta. College Fashion Week 2015 has just wrapped up and it could not have been more fabulous! Her Campus George Mason had the chance to attend College Fashion Week DC and we’re here to give you the inside scoop on this amazing night!
Doors for the event at The W Hotel opened at 6:00PM. The first 400 College Fashion Week attendees received a goody bag filled with items from Skinny Pop, Jamberry, Luna, Simon, StyleWatch, Monthly Gift, European Wax Center, Milani Cosmetics, Bumble and bumble., and more. Attendees had the opportunity to take pictures at step-and-repeats, get a drink at the cash bar, and visit booths from various sponsors and vendors. Monthly Gift talked to attendees about their upcoming college tour, European Wax Center gave brow makeovers, Milani Cosmetics exhibited some of their products and took headshots, Jamberry had a DIY nail bar, and Allie Gonino was selling her merchandise made from hemp and extended play. Before the show started, Allie Gonino opened with a few songs.
Co-founder, President & Publisher of Her Campus Media Windsor Hanger Western emceed the fashion show, which began at 8:00PM sharp. Collegiettes modeled looks from Simon, the show’s official fashion sponsor. Fashion scenes included Feminine Minimalist, Modern Punk, Menswear, and Falling for 70s. George Mason collegiette Mary Sauter said about the show, “It was so much fun modeling for College Fashion Week. They pampered us and made me feel so special. I’m so glad I was introduced to Her Campus through this event!”
The show ended with Windsor bringing her 2-month-old, Ellie Western, on stage and thanking Her Campus Media for allowing her to work and still attend to her duties as a mother. Now that is a #LifeGoal for all collegiettes!
