Ladies, drop that dense, stale and sad excuse of a donut from Dunkin’ Donuts.
You don’t know what it means to be a fan of this sweet treat until you head over to Duck Donuts. Founded in Outer Banks, North Carolina, this family-owned biz is spreading throughout the East Coast and luckily, there’s one close by campus.
What makes this place worth the visit is that each donut is made to order, so you know you’re getting a fresh and warm pastry finished off with your choice of coatings and toppings. Its texture is fluffy and cake-like that practically melts once it hits your tongue.Â
Based on this photo, you can tell that I like to keep it simple with just the classic coatings. From left to right and top to bottom the flavors are: lemon, vanilla, chocolate, glazed, cinammon sugar and powdered sugar. But if you’re feeling more adventurous, there’s the maple donut sprinkled with bacon (personally I think the bacon looks more like dog food). For the peanut butter addicts, you can get its nutty coating with what else but chopped peanuts.Â
Whatever your choice, it’ll go perfectly with a steaming cup of joe. Just don’t forget to snap it or post it on Instagram before you eat because if the meal isn’t not on social media, did it ever really happen?Â
