Every girl loves her high heels. We all have that one pair that we would wear everywhere we went if it was socially acceptable. Or there’s a pair that you dream of buying when you get your first pay check. I personally love heels in all shapes and colors. The only issue with my love for heels is that I always buy heels that are way too high. I am just attracted to tall heels!
Recently, I wore my favorite black, peep-toe wedge booties that have a shiny gold band around the bottom (I’m from Jersey, I just can’t resist some shine!). I then proceeded to go out for what I assumed would be an average Thursday night. It turned out to be anything but average, because I managed to fall, not once, but several times! The Georgetown cobblestones and my heels just do not mix! I fell on my way out and on the way home and to top off the whole evening, I FRACTURED MY THUMB. Yup, that’s right. My favorite black wedges caused me a broken thumb. It looks like a baby sausage.
So ladies, please take my experience as a lesson to you to only wear your favorite heels in safe places! You could end up with a broken thumb like me. The only problem now is that I cannot decide if I am sadder about my purple thumb or the fact that I have to retire my black and gold babies from the streets of Georgetown.
