Up until this past fall, the average college student was born in the 90’s now we he the 2000 babies in the mix. Most people love fall. The weather gets chilly, Disney Channel starts playing all of its old Halloween movies, and we can openly overeat all of Grandma’s homemade desserts without shame. Another great thing about fall? Football. College football comes with homecoming. This year Georgia Southern is channeling all of the 90s inspiration with our homecoming theme “Totally 90s”.
Even though we weren’t all born in the 90s something most of us can agree on is that the 90s were an influential time. From the fashion, to the music to the movies, and even the technology, the 90s were dope and they’re definitely making a comeback. You can see it in fashion magazines and you can hear it in modern albums. Even though it is recreating itself, we can’t help but appreciate the original.
Along with the change of fashion and weather fall is known as the beginning of “cuffing season”. New relationships are starting to pop up all over the place. One of the best things about having a significant other is being able to share new things with them and appreciate the old. Even though we don’t have mixtapes anymore, we do have Spotify and Apple Music. Making (or in this case sharing) a playlist of 90s music is just as sweet. Enjoy this playlist and share it with someone who loves you like a 90s love song.
