Difference Between Boyfriend and Friend with Benefits
Â
As the fall weather sets in, we see more and more people coupling up and relationships beginning to bud. As this “cuffing” season begins ladies must be more alert and aware of their relationship status. Are you boyfriend/girlfriend or just plain and simple FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS?
Â
Here is what you should look for in determining whether or not you are just friends with benefits.
Â
Â
Time Together:
Boyfriend: He is the one that wants to spend time with you; he goes out of the way to make sure that you both spend quality time together. Time is the foundation of any relationship, the effort you both take into communicating, learning and understanding each other.
Â
Friend w/ Benefit: He is the guy who “spends time” with you when he wants to, He hits you up at 2am for a “quick” get together and doesn’t bother to stick around for even an hour.
Â
Â
Friends:
Â
Boyfriend: He wants to get involved with other parts of your life that includes meeting your friends and getting to know your social life. He is willing to take that plunged into knowing you outside of the relationship.
Â
Friend w/ Benefit: He won’t take the time to even attempt to meet your friends. He is trying to avoid any type of other attachment to you. Let’s be honest he won’t even let you meet his friends in fear that you will stick around longer than needed.
Â
Â
Time Apart:
Â
Boyfriend: He will give you your personal space and let you live your life separately from one another while at the same time making sure that he keeps contact with you. He makes the effort in communicating with you via text, call or tweet but at the same time does not take it to an extreme just as you would do to him.
Â
Friend w/ Benefit: He also gives you your personal space and lets you live your life separately apart from him, he goes sometimes days or weeks without. How nice of him! He will hit you up when he’s getting uneasy and his right hand “man” isn’t getting the job done.
Â
Â
Plans:
Â
Boyfriend: Overall he is the one that sees you both together for a long period of time. He wants the relationship to work and he knows that it takes TWO to tango. He’s treating you the way you DESERVE to be treated and makes sure you are appreciated; make sure you show him that he is appreciated as well.
Â
Friend w/ Benefits:  Really, you need to know by now that he is not a man of his word, he has flaked out on you MULTIPLE times! The only future he sees with you is with you, him and a bed (hopefully a bed)
