My name is Elena Yeargan, better known as “E”, I am from Rome, Georgia which is located in the northwest region of the state. I am super easygoing and I love to talk. I hope to one day change lives in my classroom through teaching reading and writing to 8th graders! Many thoughts go through my mind as the days go by and I hope to share some of my crazy, and sometimes off the wall thoughts with you. Stay tuned.
What made you want to join Her Campus Georgia Southern?
I was not really in any organizations before joining Her Campus GS. I was getting off work one evening and checking my Instagram, per usual, and saw where a friend of mine was promoting an info session that Her Campus GS was having. I didn’t know anything about it so I decided I would go. I went and everyone was so welcoming. The atmosphere was light, fun and exciting. Everyone was so proud of the organization and I wanted to be apart of everything too, so I joined. I’m excited to be apart of this awesome team and see what potential I have to bring to the table.
What promotions have you had since since starting Her Campus GS?
Since I have just started the organization I haven’t really had any promotions but I am apart of a few different things within the organization. I am a writer, as well as apart of the social media group. I would also love to get into event planning.
Why should others get involved in Her Campus GS?
Being involved is always a plus. If you are a strong writer or even if you enjoy writing and want to get better, what better way to start then to start here? You get to make new memories, meet new people, all while growing as a person.
