What’s worse someone being jealous or crazy? I would say i’d rather be considered crazy then jealous, i mean if i was just jealous i would feel pathetic. At least with being crazy, you’re taking action. Right?
Wrong.
It can be dangerous to be jealous and crazy. Imagine being on the other end of the stick. Your friend, parent, significant other are the crazy and jealous ones. How would you feel then? Would you be so quick to prefer one over the other? Do you think you can personally pause the situation and ask them to lean more to the jealous side because you’re over their craziness? Domestic violence is real. Nearly 20 people per minute are abused by their significant other. 1 in every 3 three women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of domestic violence in some form.
Now you may think, “”I’m in college, me and my boo aren’t even that serious. He would NEVER hurt me.” Now i’m not saying your boo abuses you physically or emotionally but it is important to know how they react under pressure. Who’s to say they would never hurt you when you’ve never seen them at their breaking point, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol? It is important to know the signs and know when to seek help, and most importantly…know when to leave.
Some say being in the household where domestic violence occurs is like drowning in your own home…
You should never feel like this in your own home. So be educated and know the signs, not only for yourself but for friends as well.
