The Coachella Valley music and arts festival, one of the most anticipated musical festivals, was held this past weekend. Of course, just like every other year it was star studded! Not only are fans there for this bucket list experience but all kinds of celebs come out to! From Justin Bieber to Rihanna, to Vanessa Hudgens  to Lil Wayne, it’s obviously the place to be. Coachella was live streamed this year via YouTube, making it a little more accessible for all. Thank goodness for YouTube because it would’ve taken me way too much energy trying to sneak onto festival grounds every day (jk). Coachella is best known for the cool desert-style outfits and unofficially kicking off festival season. Yes, festival season is a real thing. Which festival will you be heading to this season? There’s the Essence Music Festival, Rolling Loud, Bonnaroo, Ultra, Pitchfork, just to name a few. Music festival season is so highly anticipated I’ve heard that Kylie Jenner picks her outfits out MONTHS in advance, is that true?? Not sure what you wear to these bucket-list events? Check out some of my favorite looks this past weekend to help you decide accordingly.

Which look would you rock?

Okay ladies, outfits are MAJOR key but so is your safety. If you’re planning on participating in this year’s festival season please adhere to these helpful safety tips:

  1. HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE: ALWAYS keep water close by
  2. Stay in a group: makes sure there’s a buddy system in place!
  3. Be aware of your surroundings & prepare an exit strategy (just in case)
  4. Don’t forget to take a break
  5. Don’t Take Drugs From Others : Don’t accept drugs, pills, really anything from strangers! You never know whats in them.
  6. Have A Meet-Up Spot – If you’re going with a group of friends, It will save you all a headache.
  7. Bring a Portable Charger – You never know when you might need a phone.
  8. Have Phone Numbers Memorized – In the chance that your cell phone does die it’s smart to know their phone numbers.
  9. Wear Ear Plugs –wear them for your protection. Loud music tends to be TERRIBLE for your long-term hearing.
  10. Be Social –bonding with the people around you could come in handy should something go wrong.
  11. Know Your Transportation – Make sure you know how to get out after the event. It’s important that drivers don’t get drunk at a show, and that you make it in time to the public vehicle you need to get home.
  12. Keep an Eye On Your Surroundings – Watch out for the people around you. You’ll enjoy the experience more and ensure your safety.

  13. Keep Eyes On Your Drink – keep an eye on your drink at all times!
  14. Protect Your Money – Keep it in a concealed pocket, like your shoe or maybe a bra.

  15. Keep an eye out for security –  Knowing where they are during a show is smart

Have fun and take lots of pictures!!!
