My oily skin and I are currently at war and my skin is winning…not in a good way either.Ā

You would think that it’s not as bad in the winter because winter is dry, but even in the winter I have to deal with makeup issues and disrespectful pimples that like to pop up in the center of myĀ face. Of course my quest to conquer my oily skin has led me to Google and Youtube, where all they tell me is to drink more water, eat better, and add more oil to my face. I will say that I apply coconut oil to my face twice a day and rosehip oil once a day before bed and that has helped with some pimples but I would love to find something that prevents the pimples from even coming.

Of course there are plenty of face washes that help prevent pimples, but guess what else I was also blessed with…sensitive skin. Oily AND sensitive skin is not a good combination ladies. You have to find something sensitive enough that your entire face won’t swell but strong enough that it will actually work. A new thing that I plan on trying are face masks made with honey and sugar. It is supposed to exfoliate and honey and sugar both have a number of benefits for the skin. I’m hoping that a combination of applying the face mask once a week and using my oils regularly (as well as eating well and drinking water) will give my skin the transformation it has been longing for. I’ll defintely keep everyone posted onĀ how it goes!

How do you deal with your oily and/or sensitive skin? Do face masks work for you? Do your prefer store bought or DIY? Let me know if you have any tips and hopefuly I gave you something new to try as well!
