Its easy to look back and reflect on the past, seeing how far you have come along and the numerous emotions that you had to endure throughout the year.
Â
For some, 2016 was a breaking point where they looked in the mirror and knew in their heart a change was needed.
Â
In order to get to greater places in this world, a change or what some may call a “re-vamp on life is necessary. Yes for most people, it is easy to stay the same way because the comfort zone keeps you far away from the negativity in the world, but that’s not necessarily true. Comfort zones do not stay comfortable and after a while, they keep you from truly excelling in life.
Â
So now you have decided that you would like to change something in your life. Now when you change something, it doesn’t have to be this huge thing. It can be something minor like changing around your room or becoming more organized for school. It can also be something major like cutting your hair or restructuring your life to break old habits.
Â
Regardless of what you decide to change, the biggest issue that I have noticed when people try to re-vamp a part of their life is the commitment to the change. This is a major issue for most people, especially around the beginning of the year when most people are on that “New year, new me” foolery. There is nothing wrong with that statement, but if you are not for the change entirely, there is no reason to shouting that statement out the heavens.
Â
Another big issues with re-vamping your life is the amount of days it takes to adapt to the new lifestyle. Depending on the person, the adapt days could vary from a week to months, even years for many reasons. The main thing is to not rush the process. It will come natural to you.
Â
The final part into being able to re-vamping your life is you. You have to allow yourself to go through the steps and get out of your own way. Say this year has been extremely difficult for you and a fresh start is what you yearn for. When you get to the difficult parts, you become fearful and you start to back out. That’s not fair to you because this is something that you have desired to have for a while and you know deep in your heart, this is what you need in order to move forward in your life. Go through the struggle and take on the issue head on. In the long run, it will make you a better person because now you know how to handle similar issues.
Â
The re-vamp or change in your life is necessary for anyone, depending on where they are in life. It’s a process but overall it creates a better life for everyone including you when you decide that this re-vamp will ultimately lead you to the person you would like to be.Â
