Transitioning out of your summertime routine may seem like a drag. If you start by doing small things and preparing yourself early on, this fall semester will be a breeze. Check out these few tips to stay on top of your game this school year.
1. Change Your Sleep Schedule
Studies have shown that getting enough sleep can drastically make or break your day. If you are a 4 a.m. sleeper, try going to bed much earlier. Set an alarm for an hour or two before your first classes and practice going to bed and waking up before they start. Doing this will get your body regulated to the time change and you’re more likely to be awake and ready to attack your day with enthusiasm.
2. Create A Schedule
College students are overwhelmingly busy. From classes to homework to work to extracurricular activities, it may seem like there is no end in sight. Creating your own personalized schedule will allow you to see what you need to do and when. Your schedule should include everything you do from the time you wake up until you fall asleep that night. Having a personalized schedule will alleviate any worries about ‘not having time’ to do something. It will also allow you to change and allot your time as needed. Plus there are lots of really cool calenders that can make looking at a schedule less annoying.

3. Eat Breakfast
As cliche’ as it may seem, having a good meal before you start your busy day will also drastically change your day for the better. Your body is constantly working to keep up with your busy lifestyle. Feed it! Having a good breakfast before a busy day is exactly what you need to keep you moving. It’s also known to keep you more awake during the day.
